Kristen Loken is a San Francisco Bay Area–based photographer author and publisher with over three decades of experience documenting food, people, and the places where culture and hospitality meet. Her work spans editorial and commercial assignments for restaurants, wineries, cultural institutions, and independent publishers, always with an eye toward warmth, authenticity, and the quiet beauty of a well-told story.

In 2014, Kristen co-founded Acorn Press, an independent publishing house dedicated to books about food, community, and place. Her titles include *The Book of Thanks*, *This Is Oakland*, and *Food People*, each shaped by her conviction that the stories behind what we eat deserve the same care as the meals themselves.

Kristen holds long-standing relationships with the San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco Opera and the Culinary Institute of America, and has photographed for clients including the Clif Family Winery & Farm, Cal Performances, and the SF Cookbook Week.

A member of the Les Dames d’Escoffier San Francisco chapter board, she is especially drawn to projects that amplify women’s voices in food, wine, and the arts.
